Dear NOSOPRS Friends
It is our great pleasure to invite you all to the seventh meeting of the Nordic Society of Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgery (NOSOPRS) in Copenhagen, 2019. Having the wonderful meeting in Stockholm in September 2017 in our minds, we are very much looking forward to seeing you in Copenhagen!
The meeting will start with lunch on Thursday 2 May and end at 12 o’clock on Friday 3 May.
The meeting will be held at the brand new Hotel Ottilia, Pasteurvej 4, 1778 Copenhagen V.
This time we will try to make a slightly different meeting – less formal and less cathedral.
The meeting will focus on your clinical experiences, ups and perhaps downs. We hope that you all will contribute to the pile of knowledge and exchange skills and experiences. In fact, we expect all participants to contribute with at least one subject for discussion in a smaller group.
We have the pleasure of having Suzanne Freitag as our special guest. Suzanne is Chief-Editor of Orbit, the official journal of the European Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Society and the Director of the Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Service at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear. Suzanne has a special interest in sebaceous gland carcinomas, which will be a main topic for the meeting. Abstracts from delegates dealing with sebaceous gland carcinomas are especially welcome.
Please register by replying to this mail: [email protected].
Please fill out the REGISTRATION FORM and attach it to your mail. Irene Jepsen will receive your mail. Irene works with the Danish Ophthalmological Society and helps NOSOPRS2019 receiving your registration and payment.
Registration and payment must be completed by January 31, 2019. The conference fee is DKK 3000, which includes lunch and conference dinner on Thursday + DKK 1540 for each hotel night, which includes organic breakfast.
Please transfer your payment to our account:

Because of our contract with the hotel, refund is not possible after January 31.
Two types of abstracts are encouraged.
A. Plenary session abstracts
This is the usual conference abstract with an oral presentation in front of all delegates. The organizers reserve the right to decide if an abstract submitted as a “plenary session abstract” can be presented in the “Discussion with colleagues – session”.
B. Discussion with colleagues – abstracts.
For this session, we will split into more rooms forming smaller groups to facilitate the discussion.
Your presentation in the “Discussion with colleagues – session” must be very short – only one or two minutes, allowing time for discussion. We hope that all of you will bring at least one topic for discussion. You are free to choose one or more subjects. As an inspiration your subject titles can include “My patient taught me this”, “How can I help this patient?”, “This one technique has altered my praxis the last year, what do you think?” etc.
Please keep your abstract below 250 words + figures. Save it in PDF format on only one A4 page and e-mail the PDF file to [email protected]
Please note that this is different from the registration e-mail.
Indicate in the file name if the abstract is submitted for the “plenary session” or the “discussion with colleagues session”.
Deadline for abstract submission is January 1, 2019.
Poster is not an option.
Please feel free to distribute this invitation to your colleagues, who might be interested in attending.
We hope to see you all in Copenhagen May 2019!
